I work in a group home and everything is put in trash, I want to start everyone to separate the recycling and take it to a recycling facility

I just opened an organic/natural web-store offering quality and unique products for the family and home. We strive on being eco-conscious in our every business practice. We use recycled and post consumed paper for thank you cards, letter head and invoices. We also use biodegradable corn pens and organic cotton and hemp ribbon the wrap customer orders.

Obstacles: The only two obstacle we have come across are the cost is quite a bit more and there are still not a lot of companies that offer a very large green selection.

Our company, Arthur Hackert Painting, is a leader in the painting industry we have very close relationships with manufactures as well as our clients. Our relationship with manufacturers enables us to not only know what green products are becoming available it also enables us to get better product training. Several of our residential clients are seniors and families with children that have some health challenges. Because of our commercial experience in painting hospitals we were able to paint those house with low voc paints many homeowners have never heard of. Now, as ‘green’ becomes more popular and better understood we have clients actually asking for lower voc’s and ‘greener’ paints as well as chemicals for things like power washing! As a company whose employees care we are thrilled! The new excitement has even spread throughout our companies ’core beliefs’. Our employee make sure to ride together whenever possible. We have our vehicles checked more often and change our oil more than need to help with emissions and consumption. Whatever we can—we do! We use 85% less paper then we did two years ago. Our goal for 2009 is to be at least 75% green!

Obstacles: The biggest obstacle we face as a company is many of the products we need to use are not available in a ‘green’ form. Paint and painting products are becoming more and more readily available. The expansion of product lines is making it much more affordable/reasonable choice for our clients. However we still face many challenges.

Contact vendors who sell the best bags. Is the Bio-Bag the best or are there others as good? Purchase the best bags. Use them all the time.

Obstacles: Cost is unknown and hopefully not prohibitive. Source for the best bags and best price is not known. Any help or suggestions?
